Evaluation of Natural Flocculants for Conventional Water Treatment Ayo Samuel Afolabia, Rudzani Sigwadib, Ambali Saka Abdulkareemc and Corina Mary Mateescud Department of Civil and Chemical Engineering, College of Science, Engineering and Technology University of South Africa, P/Bag X6, Florida 1710, Johannesburg, South Africa.
The production of potable water from most raw water sources usually entails the use of a coagulation/flocculation stage to remove turbidity in the form of suspended and colloidal material [1, 2].
Organic compounds originate from decaying plants and animal matters and from agricultural runoffs, which constitute natural humic material to synthetic organics used as detergents, pesticides, herbicides, and solvents.
Materials and Experimental Procedure The jar test is the most widely used method for evaluating and optimizing the flocculation processes, and this equipment was used in this experiment.

To achieve higher energy efficiency, cost and reliability, the wide bandgap (WBG) power semiconductor materials such as silicon carbide (SiC) offers great potential to replace Si-IGBT because of its wider bandgap, lower voltage drop, faster switching, higher breakdown voltage, higher operating temperature [1-2] and its material properties are shown in Table I.
The material properties between SiC and Si-IGBT Methods To investigate the advantage of SiC in the power module and inverter’s application, we make some assumptions to compare the performance between SiC and Si-IGBT at different ambient temperatures.

Experimental materials and methods Wastewater quality The water sample used in the experiment was from the medium pulping stage of a paper mill in Shandong province, the quality of the wastewater is shown in table 1.
It not only wasted raw materials, the determination of COD was affected by excess H2O2.

According to our collating of previous materials, the connotation of intensive land use mainly focuses on 4 aspects: (1) Intensive land use is to constantly upgrade the efficiency of urban land use through increasing the stock land input, improving the operating management and other approaches under the premise of rational urban layout, optimized land-use structure and sustainable development.
Along with the upgraded economic development level and science and technology, the efficiency of urban land use will be also increased continuously, and the intensive use of urban land shall be the target we are pursuing in constantly

Study of The Treatment of Coking Wastewater by Biological Nitrogen Removal with Physical-Chemical Process Ba Ya-era and Zifu Lib School of Civil & Environmental Engineering University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing, China abye126@hotmail.com, bzifulee@yahoo.com.cn Keywords: Coking Wastewater, Biological Nitrogen Removal, Physical-Chemical Process Abstract.
Economic analysis indicates that the running expenses of dealing with 1 Ton of water (including electric fee, medicine fee, water fee, steaming fee and labour cost, of which steam is used for heating water in winter)are as 4.16~4.99 yuan, of which its raw materials and motive force costs consume as 3.25~3.9 yuan m-3.It means reasonable and efficient usages of such as medicine(raw materials), water and electricity are important ways of lowering the costs of waste water treatments.
