Ultrasonic distance measurement principle is very simple,firstly ultrasonic transducer(ultrasonic wave launch and receiving device) launches ultrasonic,when the ultrasonic wave meets the obstace, and has the reflection,The echo signal is transformed by the transducer and received into the electrical signal (signal impulse).We start to time from the ultrasonic wave launch, and stops the time while receiving echo signal, ultrasonic propagation's time may calculate very easily and supposes it is t, Known ultrasonic propagation speed in air and supposes it is v,so we can calculate distance between transducer and obstacle:
