Introduction
Hydrogen-assisted mechanical degradation of structural materials is one of the most complex phenomena of the metallic materials degradation, due to several new unknowns in the degradation process kinetics, compared to the degradation in the absence of hydrogen in metal.
Hydrogen may degrade the mechanical behavior of metallic materials, including steel, and lead them to failure.
Diffusible hydrogen content of different filler materials.

Such robot will use compliance of the material in order to handle soft materials or move in a very limited space and change gaits more easily.
The use of rigid materials for structural elements and actuators will limit the ability of the robot to adapt to the surrounding environment.
In recent years, the soft materials have been attempted for various applications like rehabilitation, prosthetic arm/hand, medical robotics etc.
Elango et al. [4] investigated different soft materials for their suitability in soft robot fingers.
