Such difficulties arise in finding accurate failure models, accurate capturing of strain-rate and temperature-dependent material behavior, and modeling of plastics and foam materials, which leads to model non-determinism.

Measurement of the Electrode Tip Wear Degree The failure behavior of the electrode tip are mainly viscosity loss and upsetting in a long process of using. viscosity loss is occurred in the end of electrode tip contacted with the workpiece, which is just result of material transfer between them[7].While the upsetting is a phenomenon that the diameter of electrode end enlarges with the increase of solder joints number on the effect of heat and pressure. These two kinds of failure behavior mainly caused some changes in the surface of electrode tip, such as a corrosion pit. These changes can be reflected by laser measurements.
