The performance, behavior, dynamic response and failure mode of structures subjected to blast loadings are extremely complex, especially for brittle materials, such as concrete.
The strain rate effect is taken into account in the model by the dynamic increase factor (DIF), recommended by CEB[10], which has been used widely in materials estimation and numerical analysis[1, 2].
