The smart layer, covering the of surface of civil engineering structures, can be formed after attaching this response element on the structure surface, has the similar function like skin to people.
Because each parts of objects have different resistivity inner structure, when applying electric current to structure surface and measuring them, we can learn the structure’s inner electrical resistivity distribution, thus rebuilding the graph that reflect structure inner substance distribution to achieve structure health monitoring and civil engineering structure [7].
