Abstract: A non-isolated bidirectional DC-DC cconverter with step up-down capability is proposed in this paper. The proposed converter operates with a fixed switching frequency and has a step up-down capability regardless of the direction of power flow. Voltage stresses of the power switches are lower than those in the conventional buck-boost converter. Moreover, only a single magnetic component is required in the proposed converter. An asymmetrical pulse width modulation (APWM) control shceme is utilized. The operation principle and steady-state analysis of the proposed converter are provided. A prototype of the proposed converter is developed, and its experimental results are presented for validation

Abstract: A rapid indirect competitive ELISA (icELISA) for the determination of enrofloxacin (ENR) residue has been developed. EDC method was employed to synthesize the artificial antigen of ENR-BSA, and anti-serum produced from rabbits was selected. Based on the square matrix titration, an icELISA method was developed with the polyclonal antibody. The Linear range was from 0.006 to 31.5 ng/mL, with LOD and IC50 values of 0.003 ng/mL and 0.45 ng/mL, respectively. Except for a high cross-reactivity (105.2%) to ciprofloxacin, negligible cross-reactivity to other compounds was observed. The recoveries of ENR were in the range of 98.3-127.5%, 85.7-112.5% and 97.4-103.8% for chicken muscle, liver and kidney, respectively. Therefore, this assay has the potential to be incorporated into a quantitative monitoring program for the rapid screening of ENR residue in food.

Abstract: A zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) buck-boost converter with a coupled inductor based on magnetic materials is proposed in this paper. An auxiliary circuit consisting of an additional winding to the main inductor, an auxiluary inductor, and an auxiliary diode is utilized to obtain the ZVS operation of power switches. Due to the ZVS operation, the switching loss is significantly reduced. The operation principle and steady-state analysis of the proposed converter are provided. A prototype of the proposed converter is developed, and its experimental results are presented for validation

Abstract: Through cell fusion technology, five hybridoma lines of sarafloxacin (SAR), named S1-B2, S2-C6, S2-E7, S3-C5, and S3-E5, were identified and their corresponding mAbs were of the IgG1 isotype with a k light chain. The Kaffs of all mAbs were between 2.8 and 4.6×109 L/mol. The titers and IC50 values of purified ascite fluids were in the range of 0.512–2.56×106 and 0.32–0.48 ng/mL, respectively. The performances of S1-B2 and S2-C6 were more consistent in the stability experiments. Based on the S1-B2 hybridoma, an icELISA method was developed. The dynamic range was from 0.004 to 18 ng/mL, with a detection limit for the assay and IC50 values of 0.002 and 0.32 ng/mL, respectively. Therefore, the establishment of these hybridomas may provide an alternative method for the detection of SAR residues in food-original animals.

Abstract: According to in-depth study of embedded system architecture and working principles, this paper proposes an embedded kernel simulation system model – Device Operation Interface (DOI) model based in the computer simulation theory. Furthermore, an embedded 8051 simulated kernel is designed and developed based on this model. The 8051 simulation system achieves loading, compiling and linking the C language source file, simulates the process of 8051 command execution and displays the results through interfaces. The DOI model contributes to the reuse in different experimental simulation platforms

Abstract: New MOCVD grown UV (ultra-violet) LEDs using low dislocation density GaN buffer layers on sapphire have been studied. Two different LED characteristics of GaN substrates, i.e. 5um-thick and 20um-thick buffer layers, on sapphire are compared with each other. The enhanced LED characteristics show ~29.5% reduction in current-voltage resistance, ~8.5% reduction in turn-on voltage and output power saturation at higher current. Better GaN buffer quality and heat dissipation due to the lower defect density are believed to the enhanced reason.

Abstract: An Ultrasonic water level measurement system based on GPS is presented. According to the ultrasonic principle and GPS positioning technology, the secondary ultrasonic reflection in the air and the time spent in the liquid are measured to calculate the height of the water level and the depth of the liquid. The temperature compensation circuit is designed to improve the measurement precision. The use of GPS, the specific location of measurement points can be got, and the key position multi-point level measurement, cycle monitoring, real-time monitoring and mobile monitoring can be achieved

Abstract: An automatic control system for multi-axes motions based on multi-CPU embedded systems is proposed in the paper, in order to overcome insufficiencies of available multi-axes automatic dispensing control systems. It is shown from experimental results that expected control objectives for multi-axes motions are achieved.

Abstract: A simple technique to reduce the lateral size of the wide-band planar spiral antenna is presented. It is implemented by dividing the conventional spiral patch into a different number of segments and placing them on different sides of the microwave substrate with vias as the connections. Two rectangle spiral shaped planar spiral antennas were fabricated and measured to demonstrate the capability of lowering the initial resonant frequency by adding connecting vias. According to results, the initial resonant frequency of the proposed antenna has been shifted from 2.4GHz to 1.6GHz; in other words, the antenna size can be reduced to 56%, approximately
