Parametric Study of Structural Performance of Innovative Solutions for Hybrid Lintels - Part 1: Input Data for FEM Analysis

Article Preview

Abstract:

The paper presents the analysis of innovative precast hybrid structural elements. The elements are two-layered prefabricated lintels, which are made of AAC (aerated autoclaved concrete) and reinforced concrete, consisting of several hybrid modules used for closing any openings with spans varying between 0.75 m and 3.25 m. The presented study contains the analytical calculus, covered by numerical modelling simulations, which helped determining the modules’ load bearing capacity and support the authors’ conclusion to use these hybrid lintels as structural elements.
