Transportation on the Lower Danube - Current Issues

Abstract:

The paper aims to present the main issues related to the transportation on Danube on the Romanian’s sector. The paper contains information on the Romanian ports and on the specificity of navigation in the named area, both of them involving specific problems, requirements and limitations for the cargos dimensions and for the types and number of the ships able to navigate the low Danube. Analysis of the influence of new bridge on the Danube on the port is brought, as well.
