Structural and Constructive Analysis of the Grab with Two Cups Used in the Port and Marine Area

Abstract:

In the case of handling bulk goods, at the operation of ships, both in port and at sea, the most used installation are those with grab equipment. In this paper, was realized a structural and constructive study of a looper with two cups. Have been analytically determined the loads occurring in one cup and have been determined state of stress and strain by numerical analysis. In the end of the paper are proposed some constructive, functional and structural solutions to optimize the exploitation of the looper with two cups in the onshore and offshore zones.
