Analysis and Simulation on the Connection Strength of Flareless Tube Fittings

The forming connection and uniaxial tensile processes of flareless tube fittings with 10mm outside diameter were simulated by using Abaqus software, and a series of uniaxial tensile tests were executed. The results show that the magnitude of interference formed during the forming connection process has great influence on the connection strength, reasonable agreement was obtained between the predicted conclusion and test data.
