A “Flow” Based Method for Knowledge Mining and Visualization of Patents

Abstract:

Patent knowledge mining and reusing have become one of the shortcuts during the conceptual design. However, in fact, it is difficult to obtain the deep function and principle knowledge which are the most important part for conceptual design through the existing knowledge mining method. Therefore, this paper established a method of knowledge mining and visualization of patents based on the "Flow", through which the designer can improve the efficiency of knowledge acquisition, find the hidden principle of innovation, and promote innovation finally.
