Influence of Span-Thickness Ratio on Arching Action of Reinforced Concrete Frame Beams

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper mainly deals with the influence of the variety of span-thickness ratio of beams on arching action of reinforced concrete frame beams through trial experiment research and theory analyzes.By experimental study and theoretical analysis, limit carrying capacity of reinforced concrete frame beams can be enhanced largely owing to arching action. The larger span-thickness ratio of beams is,the lower arching action of reinforced concrete frame beams and limit carrying capacity is,but the reduction is disproportionate.
