Research on Ordinary Old Dwellings Preservation in the Suburbs - Taking Shanghai Qingpu District as an Example

Abstract:

Based on ‘Survey Report of ancient villages, old dwellings and characteristic villages or habitations in Shanghai Qingpu District’, we have studied 144 villages and analyzed the reason for dilemma of ordinary old buildings’ preservation in China suburbs nowadays and offered several relevant advices for improvement including recognizing of the their values and economic interests
