Abstract:

This paper analysis the importance of healthy urbanization process to establish a harmonious society. Meanwhile it puts forward the problems in China’s urbanization process and related suggestions: (1) Changing the ideas of development-Overall planning, adhere to the principle of cities and small towns coordinated development; (2) Improving the development quality-Improving the speed and quality comprehensively; (3) Innovating the development models- Improving the market mechanism, paying attention to the establishment of institutional environment, and integrating the second establishment stage of rural enterprises, the development of small towns and the employment of surplus labors to form a virtuous cycle system; (4) Improving the institutional environment-solving the problems of land, household registration system and urban management system after the peasants coming into the towns.
