Research on Impedance Function of Highway Under Snow
Abstract:
According to the theoretic analysis, a new free velocity model was derived and presented under snow. This model took into account the friction and centrifugal force and the force of inertia on a traveling vehicle, and building an equality based on the moment balance, then analyzing the extent of parameters in this equality, after that calculating the extent of the free flow velocity, then the free flow time model was built. According to the field data, testing the speed model, the testing results show the speed model is feasible. Then calibrating the VISSIM simulation model, and calculating the value of BPR parameters based on the simulation results, at last, an improved BPR impedance model of highway under snow is built.
