Abstract: This paper introducts and compares the conceptof ecological security and other related concepts (including ecilogical risk, ecosystem health, ecosystem servers and ecofogical capacity), sums up the review to assess regional ecological security theory frames (including PSR, PSIR,DSR,DPSIR and DPSER) and evaluation methods (including entropy method, principal component analysis, analytic hierarchy process, grey correlation method, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, artificial neural networks, matter-element analysis, ecological footprint, landscape ecological security pattern method and digital ecological security model), compares the advantages and disadvantages of various methods, and discussed regional ecological security evaluation method development direction.

Abstract: This paper shows some countermeasures for public environment design in cold area. It analyzes influences to people’s life from concept and climate characters of cold area. These measures include layout of architectural complex, rootleness of area culture characters, and buildup of openning space energy. The purpose is to create a comfortable living environment, and to guarantee quality of urban public environment space.

Abstract: From the ecological point of view, the ecological thinking is necessary in building a harmonious society and urban planning. For the ecological behavior shows the low effectiveness in city planning. Planners should re-recognize their work ethic and establish a new scientific ecological scale view. And it’s suggested that some new layers are established according to the nature of the ecological connotation. They are the ecological compensation and rehabilitation, the use of ecological flows and scientific scale, community and urban competitiveness, and so on, which can fulfill ecological behavior and essential requirement of urban sustainable development.

Abstract: Accumulation of high concentrations of Na and Cl ions in soils is one factor that hampers plant establishment along roadsides in regions where deicing salts are used to improve winter driving conditions. However, there is little information on the accumulation of deicing salts in roadside soil as well as on the phytotoxic impact of deicing salts on pines in Northeast China. The accumulation of salt in soil and injuries on pine needles (Pinus tabulaeformis) were investigated in the urban areas of Shenyang city in 2011. The results showed that the use of deicing salts on roads leads to the high accumulation of sodium (352–513 mg•kg-1) and chloride (577–2,353 mg•kg-1) in urban roadside soil. High pH and EC values suggested that the alkaline status and high soluble salts in the soil. High accumulation of deicing salts in roadside soil has been shown to have a phytotoxic effect on pines (Pinus tabulaeformis). Concentrations of Na and Cl in leaves were higher in the roadside plants than the plants appearing healthy in control site. The accumulation of Na and Cl in the needles were present up to an average of 274 mg•kg-1 (24–672 mg•kg-1) and 3,681 mg•kg-1 (786–9,919 mg•kg-1), respectively. It is evident that the deicing salts spray has a significant effect on the accumulation of sodium and chloride in urban roadside soils and needles of Pinus tabulaeformis, as well as the occurrence of visible injuries.

Abstract: With the global crisis of resources and environment, and the ecological environment is on destruction,all countries in the world have started to develop green building evaluation system, so the concept of green building evaluation system comes into being. In this paper, according to the research on LEED and Evaluation Rulers for Green Building of China, and basing on the planning and construction status of Eco-city, it is analyzed and evaluated by applying the two green building evaluation systems. According to the research on the two green building systems and the excellent case of the Eco-city, the paper hopes that it can supply some reference values for developing green building in the developing countries.

Abstract: The development of a low-carbon economy and environment protection has become common concerns from all over the world. At present, factors of the circulation industry covered the conventional facilities, distribution, cold chain development, the capital, management concept expect negative effects on the development of low carbon. This paper focuses on the research of green cold-chain management on the basis of the low-carbon economy, so as to provide some enlightenment of developing scientific and systematic cold chain green management.

Abstract: The bioremediation technology for urban landscape waters are illustrated in this paper. The characteristics and purification performance of urban landscape waters were introduced. Based on their good effects on nitrogen and phosphorus removal, the landscape plants are recommended as species of aquatic vegetation in phytoremediation of wastewater of urban river.

Abstract: In this paper, the CFD approach is used to study the solid–liquid two-phase turbulent flow and sludge concentration distribution in a secondary sedimentation tank. By the simulation, the velocity and the turbulent kinetic energy and turbulent kinetic energy dissipation rate and solid distribution in a secondary sedimentation tank are obtained, which shows the simulation model is an effective method to investigate the flow patterns and their influence on the process inside the sedimentation vessel.

Abstract: This paper adopted a 3-stage rotating biological contactor (RBC), while the operating parameters could be controlled properly, this kind of RBC can obtain better removal effect in domestic sewage treatment. At 25oC, when hydraulic retention time (HRT) is 4h ,6h,8h,10h and 12h ,removal rate of COD is 65.14%,86.10%,89.82%,85.93% and 78.58%.HRT fixes on 8h, removal rate of NH3 –N is 75% after adjusting alkalinity. When rotating rate of RBC is 4,6,8,10,12 and 14 r/min, the removal rate of TN is 53.88%,56.78%,60.03%,58.49%,55.32% and 54.87%.RBC also has a good removal efficiency of TP and obtains the removal rate of TP 45%.There is good prospect in domestic sewage treatment with RBC.

Abstract: Zeolite from coal fly ash is hydrothermal synthesis by microwave-assisted, and it is used to process wastewater. Through the XRD analysis, we discovered that many kinds of zeolites were synthesized in the experiment. The influence factor of zeolite sythesis is chemical composition, activator, temperature, time,etc. This kind of zeolite is used in processing wastewater, removed some positive ions from wastewater, like NH4+,Cu2+,Fe2+,Mn2+,and so on. Meanwhile some PO43+ and CODCr were removed. The main principle of zeolite processing wastewater is cation exchanging. There are physical-chemistry adsorption and the chemical precipitation in this process.
