Finite Element Analysis of Cross Helical Gear Transmission Based on ANSYS Workbench

Article Preview

Abstract:

FEA software ANSYS Workbench is used for the static finite element analysis of a cross helical gear meshing model, the stress, strain, and the factor of safety on this model are calculated. Modal analysis with 6 main natural frequencies and vibration shape is conducted and analyzed to study dynamic characteristics of the transmission line. This work provides a reliable reference to design a high reliable system of crossed helical gear transmissions for our new developed tool head in multifunction lathe.
