Reattempt on Environmental Research Classification-Analysis Based on 700 CNKI Items

Abstract:

According to the definition of environment, four classification of environment are known. Among them, the classification according to the components is the most widely recognized one. However, also has some limitations. Facing climatic change, the New Environmental Paradigm (NEP) from the anti-anthropocentrism will become the key measuring method. After subdivided environment according to the logic of anti-anthropocentrism, I find that environment classification according to the components is relevantly scientific, but it still is unable to meet the requirements of current and further researches. In order to fix the research of environment, I try to give the correspondence classification. Data using 700 items related to environment from the CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure). Main fields of current environment research have been analyzed. For better understanding of “environment” especially on the research arena, “virtual environment” should be adding in the definition of environment.

[7] Livestock belongs to the category definitely; the landscape trees, border trees in the cities and animals and plants in the parks belong to the category.

[9] Of course, there is one interesting rethinking: where is the word environment from? It is created by the human. If it is created by the human, why the method explaining the word has prejudice of anthropocentrism? It seems to be ridiculous.

[17] Because the engineering environment is one part of social environment according to the functions of the environment fundamentally.

[18] Because the aforesaid definition: according to the functions, the engineering environment can be classified to the city environment, the village environment, the business environment (shopping malls and hotels), the cultural environment (schools and operas etc), the sanitary environment (hospitals and convalescence areas), the tourism environment (cultural relics, places of interest, etc. ) and so on, is the classification of objective environment and the subjective environment.

[24] The engineering environment is the objective aspect of the society's large environment and I believe that it belongs to the society's objective environment.
