A Model for E-Government Information Resource Integration Based on Ontology

Article Preview

Abstract:

Ontologies have attracted increasing attention in IT community and their benefits are now recognized for E-government applications. As one of the typical semantic representation methods, ontology-based integration approaches have been the focus in the past few decades. The definition of the ontology was reviewed firstly. Then methodological aspects related to ontological engineering were introduced. Importantly, a model of E-government information resource integration was presented. Finally, an E-government database ontology was developed for sharing and reuse of E-government information resource.
