Research of Encoding Rules for RFID Tags Used in Automobile Parts Production Line

Abstract:

Traditional bar code technology has some limitations due to the great dependence on operators and restrictions caused by the work environment. Therefore, it’s very important to introduce RFID technology and the kernel of using RFID technology is to establish a reasonable set of encoding rules for RFID tags. This paper designed a set of encoding rules for RFID tags based on analysis of production process, RFID system architecture and encoding requirements which are used in automobile parts production line, and then studied thoroughly on encoding rules. The automation and intellectualization of automobile parts production line are gradually realized and the efficiency is greatly improved due to the application of this encoding rules.
