Research on Secondary Stress for Steel-Pipe Truss under the Influence of Geometric Parameters

Article Preview

Abstract:

Based on FEA software ANSYS, 26 steel-pipe truss models with hinge joints or rigid joints are presented, the distributions of total structure secondary stress are analysed under the influences of the mechenical behavior of total structure. The results indicate that the secondary stresses on several links have reached the certain value, and changed regularly following the change of geometric parameters. These changes should be considered in engineering design.
