Modeling File Distribution Process and Simulation Influencing Factors in P2P Networks

Article Preview

Abstract:

In view of popular files downloaded largely are similar to infectious diseases spreading, the multi-species epidemic model with spatial dynamics in medical area is applied to describe the file distribution process in P2P file sharing system. And on this basis, basic reproduction number is applied to describe the corresponding constraints in file transmission that can be used to express if the infectious diseases to outbreak. By simulation experiments, we demonstrated the basic reproduction number can be well used to calculate ability of file distribution and to reflect efficiency variation through different parameters values.
