Abstract: Hard surface gears drive is considering mainly how to improve the tooth root bending fatigue strength and wear resistance of the teeth. Based on the analysis of sliding ratio, coincidence degree and the gear tooth root bending fatigue strength, basic parameters of gear can be modified to improve strength. Although these gears must be cut by the standard tools, high strength gears are needed in machinery. In this research, intensity experiments were conducted with 42CrMo modified and standard hard surface gears. Experiment results show that the improvements of 42CrMo gear parameters are effective and teeth strength is improved for the modified parameters of gears.

Abstract: In order to make the motor test and evaluation of hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) can better reflect the requirements of the driving cycle to the motor of the HEV. First, the definition of motor test cycle and its feasibility is discussed. Second, according to traction motor working distribution under the actual driving cycle, motor test cycle is made using the statistical tool and the method for its test and evaluation is proposed. Third, the feasibility of motor test cycle is verified by the test on the test bench.

Abstract: The paper describes a way of matching the traction motor’s continuous parameters without changing the vehicle’s power performance. First, the traction motor’s peak parameters were matched according to the power performance of the HEV. Second, using the statistical tool, the region of the continuous parameter is set according to traction motor working distribution under actual drive cycle. Third, the continuous parameters were matched according to the motor loss model and the motor test cycle. Finally, vehicle simulation is done in CRUISE, simulation results show HEV traction motor matched using this method can improve the economy performance of the vehicle under certain drive cycle.

Abstract: Determination of dedendum circle diameter of ring gear in planetary gear drives is an important issue in preliminary design of electric motorcycle transmission. Genetic optimization is used to automate preliminary design of gears by minimizing volume of gear trains. An improved genetic optimization method was applied to a planetary gear transmission of electric motorcycle. Gray code way was applied in variable binary strings for improve research efficiency. Dynamic penalty functions were introduced to the objective function for handing the design constraints. The results were compared with a enumeration method usually applied. Improved GA produced quite well results promptly supplying design parameters of a planetary gear transmission.

Abstract: We present a simulating experimental method used for studying the influence of impact mass on damping performance of impact dampers. The free mass in the impact damper had equal total mass but different size individual. We tested the damping effect of the damper under the same external force separately. The main results obtained in the experiments indicated that the impact damper had a good damping effect in the resonance region of the main system. The mass value of the free mass participating in vibro-impact was variable. In addition, the damping of the main system was related to the size of the free mass. In the conditions of equal total mass and same material, the size of the free mass was smaller, the effect of the vibration control was better.

Abstract: Object tracking is a very important application in the fields of computer vision. In practice, automated tracking systems can rarely meet the required performance. This paper improves the attentional based tracking framework with Adaboost and gaze selection. The object classifier is implemented using the ADA Boosting to recognize digits from the MNIST dataset. At the initial object position Gaze selection is performed. The performance of the framework is evaluated using digit videos generated from the MNIST dataset with clutters. In general, the performance of the framework is robust to changes in motion routes and degree of clutter.

Abstract: Because of all-time, all-weather ability to work and strong penetration, millimeter-wave radiometer is used to inspect concealed objects hidden under clothing. Due to the restrictions of antenna, equipment and environment, the resolution of image is low and the contours of concealed objects are not clear. To improve the quality of radiometric images and the accuracy of edge detection, we firstly process the image using threshold segmentation, then, a method of combining morphology self-adaptive filter and watershed algorithm is proposed to do the further processing and feature extraction. The experiment results indicate that morphology self-adaptive algorithm and watershed algorithm can complete the edge extraction of the concealed objects well with the real objects.

Abstract: The CAD software SolidWorks was used to create a three-dimensional finite element model of FTIR infrared spectrometer, and the model was imported into ANSYS/Workbench to modal analysis and harmonic response analysis. Through modal analysis, each order natural frequency and vibration shape were obtained. From modal shape analysis, all components of the stiffness strength and elastic deformation situation were got, and many times tests were carried to enhance stability of the structure and materials which had the most seriously deformation and direct effect impact to the quality of interferometer. The most sensitive frequency range of the system was concluded by harmonic response analysis, which provided a basis for further designing and improving of the spectrometer performance.
