Abstract: To study the asphalt pavement performances on high temperature or its water stabilities, a series of tests, including high temperature stability test, immersion Marshall test, freeze-thaw splitting test, were finished. According to bailey method, initial quasi grading were calculated. Passing rate of 2.36 mm is respectively 36.3%, 33.1%, 36.1%, 38.7%, which is close to the initial quasi grading, namely 36%, 31.5%, 36%, 40%. Respectively at the test temperature of 60 °C, 68 °C, rutting tests were put forward. The results show that the mixture of gradation one has a higher temperature stability than the others in any case. Marshall immersion test and freeze-thaw test were conducted, optimizing with freeze-thaw splitting intensity ratio, which shows that the mixture of gradation one has a better water stability. To sum up, gradation one is recommended, designed by Marshall compaction molding with times of 100.

Abstract: As a fundamental work for pavement maintenance management, the evaluation on asphalt pavement performance is the premise of determining the maintenance time and strategy. Aiming at the shortcomings of traditional TOPSIS model, an improved TOPSIS method is proposed to make comprehensive assessment on asphalt pavement performance. Instead of the Euclid distance, the vertical distance between the evaluation object and positive ideal solution is taken as the basis for alternatives ranking. A case study is carried out, indicating that this approach is rational and feasible. The result can provide a certain reference for the road management department to make optimal decision.

Abstract: As the construction and development of highway need high performance of road materials, the conventional asphalt mixture is difficult to meet the requirements. To save energy, the paper researches into adjusting agent, asphalt modification, fiber and rubber powder, analyzes performance characteristics of different adding methods, adding materials and adding quantities through comparative and experimental analysis, and obtains superior high temperature stability and low temperature stability of asphalt mixture with adjusting agent compared with modified asphalt mixture, which explores a new idea for the application of waste materials in highway construction.

Abstract: To improve high temperature stability performance, some additive materials, such as cement, slaked lime and lignin were mixed into open graded asphalt friction course (OGFC). With different dosage and various admixtures, samples of different dimension were made. Then, rutting tests were put forward for dynamic stability calculation. High temperature stability of OGFC mixture can be obviously improved, whatever adding cement or slaked lime, even lignin fibre instead of mineral powder. As for substitute cement for mineral powder, when replacement volume is 66.6%, high temperature stability of OGFC-13 is highly improved with dynamic stability 1308 times / mm. When substitute slaked lime for mineral powder is 100%, dynamic stability of OGFC-13 mixture is 1910 times / mm. High temperature stability of OGFC-13 mixture can be greatly improved by 0.2% lignin fibre, with dynamic stability 1424 times / mm.

Abstract: This paper conducted a parametric analysis of the flexible pavement layers’ accumulating deflections. The accumulating process of the full-scale medium-strength subgrade (MFC) pavement layer deflections had been simulated by the previous radial basic function (RBF) model. Based on the RBF simulation results, several parameters were proposed to investigate the accumulating features of the pavement layer thickness response, the relationship between layer deflection capacity and average layer thickness, the relationship between the average thickness values of two layers and the relationship between the maximum deflection values of two layers. The analytical results revealed some unseen features of the pavement layer deflections, which provided a new way to parametrically investigate the accumulating response of the flexible pavement layers.

Abstract: The traditional dwellings Huizhou, which adapts to the local wet hot climate, crests relatively indoor thermal environment, with its own design reducing energy consumption. That is significant modern building energy conservation. This article analyzes the passive cooling technology of traditional dwellings Huizhou from several aspects, dwelling settlement planning, building space design and building construction etc, which greatly inspires for modern building energy conservation.
