Control Strategy Design and Simulation for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle

Article Preview

Abstract:

The plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) have the potential of petroleum displacement with electric energy. The dynamic model and control strategy for PHEV are designed in this paper. Simulation models of PHEV components are built based on Simulink. The control rules of energy management and engine operation model are defined to improve the fuel consumption of the PHEV. Simulation results show that the efficiency of PHEV is improved with the proposed methods.
