Expert System for Coupling Selection

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper presents an expert system applied in mechanical engineering design to selection of coupling. Coupling is an important part for mechanical transmission as well as for robotics. Usually for choosing a coupling, a consultation of specialized books is required, which requires a lot of time. For the selection of coupling, powerful expert system software, namely “CLIPS”, was used.
