Singapore's Urban Planning and Management of Enlightenment to Xiangyang

Abstract:

This paper describes the present situation of Singapore city planning and construction, construction experience and achievements, summarizes the successful experiences of Singapore in urban planning from three aspects of Singapore development course, operation system and characteristics of urban planning. Based on the analysis of problems in urban planning during the rapid urbanization in Xiangyang and learned from the successful experience of Singapore, it renders suggestions on countermeasures to planning study and preparation and implementation of management and supervision, urban development and historical preservation, public participation in urban planning, etc.
