The Cultural Heritage Protection in the Process of Urbanization

Abstract:

The historical and cultural heritage of contemporary city is facing unprecedented challenges in the fast urbanization process. Against the existing problems of the cultural heritage protection in large-scale construction, such as dispersion, unilateralism, destructiveness along with the loss of city characteristic, the paper analyzes the significance and value of cultural heritage for whole city. It puts forward to establish the integrated conservation view of history city of historical and cultural heritage, then discusses the strategies of integrated conservation of historical and cultural heritage for greater Xian Region example.
