Abstract:

The numerical simulation of temperature field of Q235 steel in 700 mm×700 mm mold has been carried out by software Fluent to assess the effect of the structure of the immersed nozzle on the heat flow transfer and solidification of the molten steel, which shows that the best result can be achieved when the nozzle with the five- side- holes was immersed in the depth of 150 mm and its opening angle is 15°.
