The Research on Generation of Arc Face-Gears

Article Preview

Abstract:

By a study on the theory of generation processing arc face-gears, a machining method was designed by generation characteristics on the arc face-gears pairs. Based on coordinate transformation principle and meshing equation, the arc tooth surface equations were derived and corresponding 3D model was build. It verifies the feasibility of generation processing the arc face-gears. Conjugate enveloping guarantees precise action on the arc face-gear pairs. Gear surface generated by machining angle, curvature features are improved which is helpful to obtain top-quality transmission. Independent cutting major movement achieves high-speed and high-precision process. It is convenient to generating arc face-gears by using the general multi-axle numerical control machine with the common Gleason Cutter. The manufacturing process is simple.
