Research of Multi-Scale Mechanics Behavior in Hierarchical Porous Bio-Ceramics

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper studied on micro/macro-structure of porous bio-ceramics with hierarchical structures in different scales. Established the connection between the micro and macro pores, results show that with the increment of porosity in micro-structure, the solid material effective property in the macro-structure increased and it is influenced by the porous arrangement. Then in the preparation process, defects such as cracks are easy to be introduced, at the macro-structure level, based on the principle of extended finite element method, studied of porous bio-ceramics containing cracks, the prediction of crack paths and critical loads were obtained with different porosities.
