A Wireless and Data Store Holter System

Article Preview

Abstract:

A wireless and data store Holter prototype system is presented in this paper. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) clinical and home based healthcare is becoming more and more important. This Holter can acquire, preprocess, store and transmit ECG data by wireless interface. A MicroSD card is used for data store. It is easy to extend data store volume when longer record time is required. The abnormal ECG data blocks can be detected and give alarms to users based on MSP430 MCU preprocessing result. The data in MicroSD card can be transferred to other smart phone and portable computers by Bluetooth interface. This Holter system test result shows very low power consumption. It could be run under 6mA for data preprocessing and ECG data acquisition. With this low power design, the prototype system can keep working for more than 48hours.
