Research on Calculation Method of Equivalent Stress for Main Shaft in Wind Turbine

Article Preview

Abstract:

The reactions, equations of moment and the overall moment of two planes were deduced based on mechanics of materials, as the main shaft was assumed to be a homogeneous three-section beam. Based on the fourth strength theory, equivalent stresses of three cross sections were solved. Based on the deduced conclusion, the equivalent stress of a various ultimate load cases were solved automatically by entering the loads of the hub center in the Excel, which was applied to the design and optimize for the main shaft.
