Article Preview

Abstract:

Large hydrogenated forging cylindrical shell material whose composition is 2.25Cr-1Mo-0.25V is the main machining material of large nuclear power and petrochemical industry, and doing research on its machining ability is of great significance. In this article contrast test of machining ability of three materials: 2.25Cr-1Mo-0.25V steel, 45steel and 42CrMo steel was carried out from three aspects: force of cutting, temperature of cutting and breaking of chips. Then machining ability of three materials was contrasted and analyzed through force of cutting data, temperature of cutting data and object of chips which had been got from test. The reason why cylindrical shell material is difficult to machine was analyzed and some associated measures to improve machining ability of cylindrical shell material were put forward.
