The Substitutability Model of Transport Demand and the Share Ratio Analysis of Passenger Transport Products

Article Preview

Abstract:

With the building and operating of passenger line, the competition of integrated traffic system in region and avenue not only consists among all kinds of transportation modes, it embodies among various kinds of passenger transport products (PTP) between the existing line and passenger line. Keep up market-oriented principle, start with analysis of passenger travelling demand and use the qualitative and quantitative analysis to predict the share ratio of PTP rationally under the research of the substitutability of passenger transport demand (PTD) based on the theory of set pair analysis and generalized cost, and make the market orientation clear that plays an important role in promoting the division of work among existing line and passenger line, avoiding resource-wasting of infrastructure, and making the maximize benefits of the railway transport enterprises under the conditions of the market demand.
