Abstract:

This report is the result of a joint project involving the Department of Architectural Science from Ryerson University (RU) and the Architecture and Urban Planning stream from China Three Gorges University (CTGU). It compares and analyzes these technologies in detail and provides some guidance in selecting economically effective approaches to retrofitting large public buildings. It focus on structure thermal and visual in order to identify the current problems with the envelope, analyze the problems, and propose remedial strategies that can increase the performance of the system.
