Abstract: Healthcare organizations spend hundreds of thousands implementing KM initiatives in term of developing practitioners and expert resources. One of the KM initiatives in healthcare sector is Virtual Communities of Practice (VCoPs). VCoPs are used by health professionals and researchers to improve the quality of healthcare services by enhancing health practitioners knowledge. However, some researchers and practitioners question the effectiveness of this contribution owing to the well-publicized failure of numerous KM initiatives. Based on the prior IS success theories, this article has developed a multidimensional model of VCoPs success to support knowledge sharing behaviour among healthcare practitioners. The proposed model can be used to evaluate and measure the effectiveness of VCoPs in knowledge sharing. This in turn might fill the available gap in translating research findings and evidence based practices into action (Know-Do gap) in daily healthcare practices.

Abstract: Based on the research of image watermarking embedding, we extend our research to deal with the video watermarking. The H.264 standard is used widely and the latest video coding standard at the present. Make good use of the advantages of H.264, such as high compression rate etc., we proposed a low complexity video watermarking algorithm based on H.264. In the proposed algorithm, to weaken the attack of noise, we deal the watermarking image with DWT. And then, we use the Arnold technology to improve the security of watermarking detection. Because of not any modification is done to the data stream of video, only for the division of macro block model, so the quality of video is without of any influence by the algorithm we proposed. By the use of the algorithm, which not only is beneficial to the realization in real time, but also improve the robustness of watermarking, we can easily extract the watermarking image. The experimental results show that the suggested image watermarking algorithm and video watermarking algorithm have good invisibility and strong robustness, and the certain reference value to the actual application.

Abstract: In this paper, we focused on the architecture of video streaming based on multi-core processor. Compared with traditional video streaming server, multi-core architecture has a number of advantages: (1) according to system requirements, its flexible to add or remove executing core, (2) modules or units which consume much CPU resources can be configured to run concurrently on several cores, (3) multi-core architecture is fault-tolerant, and (4) the multi-core architecture fits well to future process technologies, more cores will be available in advanced process technologies, meanwhile the complexity per core does not increase. In order to improve the efficiency of video streaming and promote the concurrence number of tasks, we proposed a pipeline-parallel hybrid multi-core architecture on multi-core processor. We implemented the video streaming system with proposed architecture, and provided evidences of 48% outperformance based on Cavium OCTEON CN5860 multi-core processor than full parallel architecture.

Abstract: User behavior modeling is critical to help reduce delays due to buffering before and during a video playback at a client. In this paper, we model the states a user transitions while browsing through videos to be the hidden states of a Hidden Markov Model. The users next seeking position was estimated according to the maximum posteriori criterion. The proposed prefetching schemes chose and download the data block which had the higher caching value in advance to reduce data access delay. We evaluate and compare the proposed schemes using user browsing pattern data and find that prefetching scheme can improve the seeking performance significantly.

Abstract: Fragmentation is the most important trends across all media platforms, with the aim of reorganizing and disseminating information in a more personalized way according to the "Long Tail Demand" theory. This paper proposes a fragments reorganizing plan, which considering sequential video, UGC video, graphic, text and social media information as the equivalent information source, utilizing a unified metadata format to describe media resources multi-dimensionally. The implementation of virtual segmenting for video allows a more flexible control of the granularity and achieves a rich content presentation and interactive behavior when combined with interactive scripts.

Abstract: Currently, the main disadvantages of OTT services are live video delay and video quality assurance while OTT services have many interactive contents. In contrast, IPTV reception effect is better however policy restrictions, incomplete standards and lack of content are the IPTV deficiencies. Therefore, this paper proposes a method of implanting OTT services into IPTV system. The design and implementation maintain the intrinsic IPTV services and ImageMagick is used to present OTT services in IPTV set-top box (STB) according to the current IPTV industry standards. Meanwhile, the services can be designed through the management software. Finally, the OTT services based on IPTV STB can enrich IPTV video content and enhance user interactive experience.

Abstract: The wide application of Information and Communication Technologies offers great opportunities for the innovation of education, especially in universities. There are varieties of resources on the Internet, which teachers can use for their teaching, assimilating into the curriculum and into teaching methods. Based on constructivism learning theory, this paper centers on the advantages of practicing the web-based instruction by comparison to the traditional one. The media centers, a web-based learning enviroment, has been set up for students to learn as a platform for their after-class review, for their individulized instruction, for their collaborative learning and for exchanging educational resources among teachers. The notes of the Internet-assisting instruction is also discussed to emphasize that the new instruction is a useful complement not replacement to conventional teaching. So it is pointed out that the Internet should become a necessary supplementary for teaching and learning in university as the input resources and the output tools.

Abstract: While the international micro film studio technology is in the ascendant, China's micro movie studio is still a blank. But today, it's in the rapid development, with that comes rising demand of micro film studio technology. This paper proposes a Dynamic Scene Automatic Generation System, which means an automatically building system can integrate real property and the computer virtual reality environment in shooting, even convert the scripting language to play in the micro film studio. It can enhance the artistic effect of environment and plot, enhance the authenticity of the performance and effectively reduce the cost with strong proactive, creativity and usability.
