The Synchronous Control of Automated Manual Transmission in Three-Gear Electric Bus

Article Preview

Abstract:

The system configuration of 3-gear automated manual transmission (AMT) in electric bus was introduced and the rationality and necessity of using 3-gear AMT in electric bus were discussed. The mechanical structure of AMT was built in this paper. According to the evaluation criteria of automatic gear shifting, ed. the shift time and shift jerk, the optimum control strategy of synchronous process was proposed in terms of the principle and method of torque and speed adjustment of main driving motor. The experimental results illustrates that the developed 3-gear synchronous control system can be put into effect. The test results show that the mean shift time is 1.86s (statistical value) and the shift jerk is between ±35m·s-3.
