The Effects of FGD Gypsum on the Performance of Cement

Abstract:

This paper studies on the effects of the heat treatment on cement. The results show that mixing the FGD gypsum which has been processed the heat treatment into the cement do has a certain influence on the cement, the strength of the cement is increased but the setting time is normal, and the rates of water loss and shrinkage of the hardened cement paste is significantly reduced, thus shrinkage cracks are effectively prevented.
