Strength Analysis for Frame of Pavement Accelerated Loading Experimental Facility

Article Preview

Abstract:

Frame is an important bearing part of Pavement Accelerated Loading Experimental Facility. Static strength analysis of frame was made under four conditions by finite element analysis software ABAQUS. The four conditions are bending, twisting, emergency braking and urgent turning in full load. The frame strength and stiffness were analyzed and the stress distribution and displacement were got. According to the conclusion, the structure improvement suggestions are put forward such as increasing the beam thickness, adding cross beams between the side beams in the dangerous section. These suggestions can improve the design quality and enhance the facility safety.
