Joining Aluminium to Red Copper by High-Frequency Induction Brazing with Argon Shielding

Article Preview

Abstract:

Joining Cu to Al has been carried out by high-frequency induction brazing without filler metal. Experimental results showed that the eutectic structure was the main phase of the brazing seams and a regular Cu-Al intermetallic compound layer also appeared near the Cu side. The maximum shear strength of the dissimilar materials joint could be reach 22.5MPa.
