Microwave Assisted Extraction, Chemical Components and Antibacteria Activity Study of Thymus monoglicus Ronn Essential Oil
Abstract:
The chemical constituents of the essential oil of Thymus monoglicus Ronn in Bashan mount were analyzed by GC-MS. Fifty seven components were identified representing 90.313% of the oil. The main component was β-caryophyllene (26.351%), followed by 1,8-cineole (11.888%), sabinene (7.810%), trans-β-Farnesene (6.214%), α-terpinrnyl acetate (4.666%), caryophylleneoxide (3.619%) and terpenene-4-ol (3.543%). Bioactivity screening of this oil sample found it showed a slight activity of anti-bacteria on Escherichia coli, Bacillus Subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus (IC50>500 μg/mL).Introduction
