The Impact of Economic Development on Clean Energy Consumption in China: Based on Morlet Wavelet Transform Analysis

Article Preview

Abstract:

This article investigates how economic development influences on clean energy consumption in China. At first, the relationship between economic development and clean energy consumption was discussed theoretically. Then the method of Morlet wavelet transform was introduced in detail, and an empirical study was carried out on the basis of it. The results indicate that the development of the Chinese economy has a positive and significant effect on the increased proportion of clean energy consumption. Finally, the thesis draws a conclusion that, with the rapid growth of china economic, clean energy industry will occupy a more important place in the national economy and promote the sustainable development of society.
