Design of Brushless DC Motor Controller Based on DSP

Abstract:

The brushless DC motor (BLDCM) which is a kind of mechatronics products has many features, such as light weight, small volume, little inertia, high efficiency, easy to be controlled, and so on. BLDCM reserves many excellent mechanical characteristics of other ordinary DC motor which can be widely used in servocontrol, numerical control machine and robot etc. It is very significant to study a control system with quick response, powerful regulation capability and high precision. In this paper, the basic operation principle, composing parts, running characteristic and transfer function of BLDCM are discussed. Hardware part and software part of the system according to the preceding solutions are realized. As opposed to the conventional controller, the system has a better static, dynamic performance, and has a strong adaptability in changes of the parameters and the load disturbance, and achieves good control effect.
