Design of Easier Controllable High Efficiency Electrodeless Ballast

Article Preview

Abstract:

Electronic ballast with self-oscillating driving topology for electrodeless lamp operating in 2.65MHz has been restricted by high switching losses because of the very complicated control. To promote the efficiency of the electronic ballast, we present a new independent easier controllable driving scheme in this paper. The IC features of ADuM1234 and the duty circle control method to achieve ZVS operation are also presented. It is shown that the 2.65MHz, 75W electronic ballast has a 91.1% inverting efficiency.
