Movement Dynamics Analysis and Optimization for External Powered Gatling Gun

Article Preview

Abstract:

More driven torque is required to the external powered gatling gun, in order to lower the driven torque, this paper analysed the influence on automatic driven torque by cam parameters, established the kinetic mathematical model of bolt system, deduced the equation of driven torque, found out two reason which lead to over-torquing. This paper optimized the cam curve and increased the angle of accelerating under the circumstance of fixed pre-interval phase and ensured only one bolt in the phase of accelerating. After calculation, optimized cam curve reduced the driving torque in large quantity, and reduced the power consumption.
