Abstract: Based on genetic algorithm (GA) and immune algorithm, adaptive immune vaccine algorithm (AIVA) takes advantage of immune memory and immune vaccines operator of immune algorithm, while using adaptive crossover and mutation operators of improved genetic algorithm. The algorithm can effectively overcome the shortcomings, such as the premature convergence of the basic genetic algorithm, the poor ability of local search and reduction of diversity. At the same time, it ensured the algorithm convergence and effectively prevented the degradation of the population. It also improved the convergence stability and convergence speed, shortened the searching time and improved operating efficiency. AIVA was applied for multi-angle plant level load optimal distribution considering the economy, environmental protection and speediness.

Abstract: In order to reduce the active network loss, increase the power quality and voltage static stability of power system, an index function of multi-objective reactive power optimization is established. Then, an improved adaptive chaotic particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed to solve the problem. Through the using of cubic chaotic mapping, the particle population is initialized to enhance the diversity of its value; In the optimization process, poor fitness particles are updated with chaos disturbance, and their inertia weight are adjusted dynamically with particles fitness value so as to avoid local convergence. Simulation of IEEE 30 bus system shows that the proposed algorithm for reactive power optimization can avoid premature convergence effectively, and converge to optimal solution rapidly.

Abstract: As further development on the applications of CN (complex network) theory, evaluation of transmission line vulnerability requires the consideration of physical attributes of power system, instead of simply considering its topology features, which helps to deduce more precise predictions for the stability of power system. This paper introduces a novel and efficient evaluation method based on CN theory to evaluate influence of line faults to the static stability of power system, comprehensively considering the factors of system load level, power capacity utilization rate of transmission lines and worldlet features. The method is illustrated in the IEEE118 bus system.

Abstract: This paper analyzed the principles, the control methods, the features of the three operational patterns, and the merits of SVG technology as well as a brief introduction to the latest applications of SVG technology. Due to the limitations of the SVG technology, meanwhile its control strategies are very complicated; its fabrication cost is comparatively high when used to for the middle and high electricity pressure and big capacities of electricity transmission. But with the wide use of new technologies and new materials, the SVG technology will surely finds its broad applications.

Abstract: With the rapid development of Chinese urban construction and economic, the electricity load grows quickly. Power cuts have occurred from time to time at the highest load peak especially in the urban and rural that economic grows fast. There are many problems of power supply. Through the analysis of the Mianchi County, this paper puts forward measures to solve the problem. Taking the measures and According to the requirements of the plan, we will build a strong distribution network. It can provide high quality and reliable power resources for economic development, urban construction and people's living.

Abstract: The fast evolution of computer technology, sensor technology, MEMS and modern wireless communication technology has impelled development of wireless sensor networks. Wireless sensor networks are consist of a large number of nodes which can be capable of communicating, computing and cooperation in ad hoc model. In this paper, we study the application of wireless sensor networks in power engineering. A device for remote monitoring of electric towers is designed. This paper proposes the implementations of remote wireless centralized electricity meter reading based on wireless sensor network.

Abstract: Smart power utilization district is an important constituent of smart grid. Owing to the quantitative and complex of intelligent services, the network for smart power utilization is very complex, and it is very difficult to maintain the network by traditional processes and methods. We construct a network maintenance system focusing on customer service. The core process and module design of the system are based-on ITIL. We design its software system with MVC architecture style, and implement is with J2EE technology. To monitor network flow and devices, we apply network probes to monitor network flow, and apply internet of things technology to monitor the network devices.

Abstract: Power quality signals are an important issue to electricity consumers. The signals will affect manufacturing process, malfunction of equipment and economic losses. Thus, an automated monitoring system is required to identify and classify the signals for diagnosis purposes. This paper presents the development of power quality signals classification system using time-frequency analysis technique which is spectrogram. From the time-frequency representation (TFR), parameters of the signal are estimated to identify the characteristics of the signals. The signal parameters are instantaneous of RMS voltage, RMS fundamental voltage, total waveform distortion, total harmonic distortion and total non harmonic distortion. In this paper, major power quality signals are focused based on IEEE Std. 1159-2009 such as swell, sag, interruption, harmonic, interharmonic, and transient. An automated signal classification system using spectrogram is developed to identify, classify as well as provide the information of the signal.
