Study on Space Tether Retrieval Theory and Technology of Tethered Combination

Article Preview

Abstract:

Theoretical and technical problems in retrieval and deployment of spatial tether are analyzed in this article. Several movement state of take-up mechanism requirements are analyzed, and then adaptive mechanism using differential double-drum is proposed. Differential equations of motion are established in the case of bidirectional tether retrieval. The results via numerical calculation of an example show that the bidirectional reeling double-drum mechanism is very effective and well adaptive.
