An Analysis of the Influence of Rate of Variability for Tender Sum

Abstract:

A new concept has been put forward in the code of bills of quantities and valuation for construction works 2013, that is rate of variability for tender sum (RVFTS). This paper concentrates on the conception of the rate through the code and explores the application in combine with a practical project. Then a discussion about the influences of the bills of quantities (BQ) for tendering, the tender sum limit and the bid price is present. Finally, a conclusion can be extracted that the rate actually protects the employers benefit and makes the contractor in a disadvantageous position.
